Hi all
I ned to divide my tank as my angels have just spawned and i dont want to lose all the eggs to my plecs
Has anyone got any cheap and easy ways of making a tank divider?
I have got an undergravel plate up at the moment but if the eggs hatch the holes are too big to keep fry in
Thanks in advance
Eve

As a quick solution you may wish to consider the plastic holed sheets you can buy at HOBBYCRAFT. These are really effective and will keep MOST fry inside however smaller fry may escape through - worth checking it out though. Advantage is that the filtered water will pass through where a solid (glass for example) partition will perhaps need an air driven sponge filter inside the partition otherwise your water will foul and kill the fry etc.

If you have a class cutter you can use the glass from a picture frame - its thin but hey you only want to slide it in to keep the fry from escaping and keep others out.

Congratulations.

I like Bungy's idea. It may do the trick.

Once I used a plastic sheet, made few holes with match stick in my main tank to separate out a sick fish. I have never tried anything with fries.

My angels have spawned(agian) as well. You can see my post here http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=263932

I am lucky to have a spare tank, but not lucky enough to get a free swimming fries. Fingers crossed will get them this time.

Good luck with your eggs.
