hey everyone, i have a new 20 gallon tank set up upstairs thats been running for a bit now and im ready to get some fish! I don't want a whole lot just a few to get started with. What would be some good ones to start with? I have 1 corydora right now but im picking up 3 more for him today. just want a couple middle tank swimmers and such. not a fan of mollies or barbs. any suggestions?

bettas splendens thier nice and swim in the middle . if u keep them with a shoal of black neon tetras or white cloud mountain minnows it would look quite well. also u could add some angel no needfor ro units because the fish adjust to the water

right, don't bother with angels, need bigger tanks, and are aggressive.

forget the betta (fighter), they are targets for fin nippers and aggressive themselves

maybe some tetras? rummy nose or the clichéd but nice neons?

check out smaller tetras, and if you want, guppies

I would agree witht the neons, and the guppies. How about Platy's there's quite a few colour variants out there, or maybe a couple of swordtails.

The biggest thing to rember, as i have found, is make your choices carefully, you'll reach the max stocking limit for your tank very quickly.

I have a nice school of Black Phantom Tetras and Neon Tetras, very nice display.....

how about harlequins they get on with virtually anything you can get colourfull strands as well my lfs has 5 different types, copper, gold, pink, black, and regular :) + they have never shown any sign of aggression ^^
