Today I bought my first Dragon fish, and Have done quite a few research

I would like some advice and tips about this interesting fish

and is there anything I should know about? Like anything I should watch for?

Thanks in advance.

yeah if you havent got a big tank, you can considering returning the fish

Yes that is the problem right now and we are getting a much bigger tank today, and it isnt too late sine we only bought our fish yesterday.

I kanda already read that it needed a bigger tank during some research, and Turns out our walmart employee didnt give us enough info..

Oh and another thing? Would a 20 gallon tank be fine? A friend of mine is willing to give it to me as its no longer in use.

And the only fish I will keep in the tank is the Goby, and Ill probably buy 1 or 2 more.
I will leave my Pleco in the 10 Gallon tank which my Goby is currently in.

Try looking over in the brackish forum, where these guys belong.

A quick search for "Violet Goby"

In short;

-Brackish of at least 1.003-1.005
-Get to 10"+ (Meaning your 10 or 20 gallon won't be big enough)
-They are filter feeders, and practically blind, so competition for food is a problem
-They need a constant source of algae to thrive

Cheers,

Maximus

your pleco needs a bigger tank..

your goby needs 100 gallon tank.

Dependant on what plec this is, It might not need a bigger tank, but chances are it will.

And no, the goby does'nt need a 100 gallon at all, I'd aim for a 55 gallon minimum :good:

Pimp, stop posting useless information :/

sounds like you`ve got far 2 much for ya tanks. plec n gobies need well more than 20G sorry, they get as long as the tank so its not right
