I have been doing a lot of reading up on CRS but now have some questions about them, that I hope others here can answer.

I know it says in all the guides that CRS need temps between 22-24 degrees cel and higher temps either kill them or speed up their life cycle. Because it is coming into summer and my tanks are already hitting 30 degrees, does this mean that without a chiller on the tank I am going to lose all my CRS? They are in an uncovered 4ft tank with 2 bubble wands and a HOB filter providing plenty of surface movement.

I read somewhere that if the eggs on a CRS are dark/ remain dark then the eggs are dead, is this always the case?

At around what size/ age do the shrimplets start showing their red and white colouration? I have spied some tiny little barely even the size of a grain of rice shrimplet but they don't have any colour so I can't decide if they are more cherry shrimp or my much awaited for CRS babies.

Hope somebody can spread some light on these questions

Thanks.
