what would the out come be of a doubletail female with a halfmoon male?
i would like to try this spawn but i dont wnat any veiltails from them as i find them very hard to rehome

Hard to say as both would need to Carrie hm to get hm, and dt is a funny one i would say possible 10% dt and some superdeltas and delta........never tried a cross like that maybe someone that has bred dt will jump in...........i have a hm and hm cross and i do have some dt for the first time only about 4 the rest too young to tell.....

All HM's carry DT, and all DT's carry the HM geno. So you would get some nice fish and possibly a HM or two.

i think yeeviabetta has bred HM (his blue butterfly -my fave ) to a blue DT female, but the babies are still young. hopefully he will swing by this thead soon and let you know what he is seeing (but with the million babies he is caring for at the time, i bet he is almost too busy to post here these days!!!! )

i'm not a breeder, so i can't help you much with percentages for that cross., but i bet you would get some nice looking fishies!!!
