Could be a female full of roe(eggs) or it could have just stuffed itself full of food.

hmm interesting i fed them probably around 12 hours before taking that picture so i cant see it being food unless its eaten something else :S

if it is pregnant, are they live barers or egg layers?

Egg layers, loaches can be real little gluttens, if your really worried about its roundness you could try fasting it for a day to see if the belly decreases or even see if it will take some greens in case its a tad constipated.

aah okay cool i did some research about breeding loaches and most sites i see say they have to be very old? mine are young barley 1 and half inch in length,

i was thinking about that giving it some greens, cucumba would do right?

Peas would be better; cucumber's nearly all water, so not much goodness in it. Peas just need to be lightly cooked (I leave them sat in boiling water for as long as it takes to make a cup of tea) and the two halves popped out of the 'shell'.
