I bought some tree sponges a bit over a month ago and have been having a lot of success with them, to much in fact. One of them has grown 2-3 inches since I got it and it is beginning to reach a height in the tank where I won't be able to do my month 10-15% water change on the tank without exposing it to air.
Can I just trim the sponge? If so what should I use, a razor or would my pair of trimming scissors? Also can I attach the cutting somehow to a piece of LR to create a new sponge? Trying to search online for information on sponges turned out to be a big waste of time, is there some book that someone could recommend?
Thanks, any help is appreciated.
