I've never kept marine fish... ever.

I've currently got a lake tanganikyan setup with a selection of african cichlids. I was going to go ahead and spend £250 on a new bigger tank for them, whilst this got my attention...

http://www.charterhouse-aquatics.co.uk/cat...and-p-1252.html

I've always wanted marine fish, but the bigger setups are always way too expensive...I'd love to keep the little 'nemo' fish, that's all i'd want.

Would this aquarium be suitable?

I know someones probably reading this and thinking 'dummy', and of course if i was to go into marine fish i'd do my reading before anything...

But if I was to buy that tank, is that all I need to get going or will i need to spend a hell of a lot more? I know obviously i'll need to buy live rock/water, etc. But can someone give me a rough idea please!

Thanks in advance!

It would be fine for a pair of clowns. I have its big brother the Orca TL550, the only extra thing you need (Hardware) is an extra powerhead which are pretty reasonable price, koralia seems to be most popular, a koralia 1 would be fine.
Although I would recommend getting a spare heater and powerhead for water changes and if one on tank stops working it saves a panic dash to LFS.

Word of warning marine is very addictive I have had mine for a couple of months and I'm already planning a bigger tank, get the biggest you can :good:

I have a D-D nano tank (link in siggy to my diary) that's not very old (just over a month now) with clownfish in and it's all totally new to me too. I bought mine from Charterhouse with a stand HERE and can't fault them for service!

Best advice is research, research, research, then do more of it! Ask milllions of questions, buy lots of books and don't rush anything. Read diaries of tanks of a similar size/nature to yours and see what modifications people may have done to their tanks first before you decide which one to go for. I was told there are lots of nano plug and plays to go for and *blah blah blah* is the best, but only you can decide which one is best for your budget/space/fishy likes etc.

There's nothing wrong with just wanting nemos. I want nice nice corals and a few fish, some want fish only with rock, others want the world

One thing's for certain, as Trod said, it IS addictive and you WILL get so obsessed with it that you almost become reclusive :good:
