a) What size container does your fish live in? - 2.5g round bowl
b) How often do you do a water change? - 1-2x a week, depending on how busy I am. Usually two.
c) How much of the water do you change? - 100% of the water. I scoop him into a little lidded cup that delivered some moss from a plant order, do the water change, fill up the bowl, pour the water out of his little container and let him slip into my hand, and gently put him back in the bowl. The process takes about 5 minutes.
d) how long as your fish been living like this and have you ever had any health issues with him/her? - All his life. One minor case of dropsy caught very early after he traveled last. A 3 day move from IL to FL. Nothing other than that.
Does anybody know of a betta fish that lived 2 years or more in a bowl - and if yes, what his water change routine was?
Alberich (see sig) is over four years old. The routine hasn't changed much, pretty much the same as above. I do keep and have always kept Pothos sprigs in his tank. I believe it absorbs any ammonia.
Sorry, I missed this. I was writing a thread for pinning over at Planted.
