Hello, Everyone is saying to do frequent water changes to bring my ammonia level to 0. But wouldnt that bring it up? the water in there is less than a week old, and my mollie is dieing.(see emergency section)

should I start doing a 25% change daily to try help em out?

Also how much do testing kits go for in canada? I spent WAY too much this weekend on the fish already........I only have an ammonia tester.

In the near future i will buy the testers and a heater for them......but i think my mollie will have to take a ride down the toilet soon, and probably the rest

thanks

please don't flush your fish, especially if it's ill you could introduce all sorts of nasties into the water system.

no if you take out some water with ammonia in, and replace it with water with no ammonia, that would reduce it.

Sounds like you have added fish to a brand new tank that has just started cycling. Couldn`t your LFS look after them for you while you read up on how to cycle a tank?

What other fish do you have, because you are more than likely going to need a heater. Buy a test kit for nitrite as well
