Question About Stand

Hey everyone!
I just got myself a 55 gallon tank and a metal stand for free!!! Now the only question i have is can i just put the tank on the stand and it will be fine or should i try and put some type of Styrafoam underneath it?? I have never used a tank stand before. Any help would be appreciated. Thank You

is that around 4ft ??? i do remember having a 4 ft tank on a metal stand years ago & it was ok.
not saying that this wiil be thou, the only thing you could do is maybe start filling it slowly & see how it goes.

I haver a 55 on a metal stand. Tank goes on stand, no foam between. Make sure there are no pieces or particles of anything between the tank & the stand.

Thanks for the replies i am probably gonna fill it tomorrow and then start the fishless cycle on it.
