I just read that Corydoras Habrosus, are safe for fry tanks. That they will not eat fry. Is that true? Can I use any others?

I USE CORYS IN ALL MY TANKS, INC BETTA FRY FROM THE FREE SWIMMING STAGE. I DON'T THINK I HAVE LOST ANY FRY TO THEM YET.
SAME WITH MY LIVEBEARER FRY. I DON'T THINK THE MAJORITY OF CORYS WILL BOTHER OTHER FISH, REGARDLESS OF SIZE, THEY PREFER TO SCAT ABOUT IN THE SAND/GRAVEL AND ARE NOT BUILT TO CHASE OTHER FISH. JUST MY OBSERVATIONS. :)

I have heard of people using them in their spawn tanks....so I got a few dwarf cories incase I felt like trying it one day.... :) I did have snails but they were really messy :/ But thats just my opinion...good luck

Supposedly the pygmy cory species, including Corydoras habrosus, will not harm fry, but I have no personal experience with this so I couldn't say for sure :dunno:

Ya know....my cories eat live insect larvea like it's no body's business. I don't see what would stop them from chasing down a newly hatched fry, that happened to fall to the tank floor, if they so chose. Cories are fast little buggers.

I've used a panda cory with angel fry without any being eaten. Don't try it with eggs or wigglers, they have to be to the freeswimming stage.
