Question About Gkf And Arowana

So We have a 55 gallon(i know to small for full size but will be upgrading as they get bigger) with a 5 inch arowana and a 3 inch black Ghost Knife. Now questions for both.

Black Ghost Knife- any way to ever see him? all he does is hide 24/7 and if i dont have anywhere for him to hide he fights my red tail shark for property over the filter. (they both hide behind it) any way to sex it?

Arowana- now we just got him and he chills on the top of the tank never goes down. we feed him these pellets the pet store said to give him he hates them. spits them right out. tried freeze dried shrimp wont touch them. Tried blood worms loves them but if we defrost them he wont go down to the bottem to get them and if they are frozen he freaks out and flies all over the cage spitting it out every 2 seconds. So can he eat thawed pinkies? if i recall those will float for a bit? or any ideas on what to feed him? or do you think eventually he will figure out to chase the food as it sinks? we have 3 silver dollars in the tank as well so maybe thats why he wont go anywhere but on top of the tank? at the pet store they were all swimming everywhere. Temp is 80 degrees ph and all the rest are normal.

plant it heavily or provide more spaces for the knife fish to hide? And yeah knifefish are known to hide alot...their nocturnal..

Although saying that you should sell the arrowana. you've prob's got a silver and i very much doubt you'll be going from a small 55g to a 200-300g tank within the next year and a bit? Do not buy something with the plan to upgrade it is a terrible idea and quite often ends up with you struggling to sell a large fish or your fish dying because its ina small cramped tank.

my arrows wont eat off the bottom eather and thats norm 90% of the food they eat in the wild are bugs that fall or land on the water they wont leave the top
so what i do for my monsters i feed them froz krill and market shrimp i frez the shrimp and every morn when i feed i take 3froz shrimp and some krill and put them in a baby jar in the fridge for there dinner so there not froz anymore
and when i feed them i make shur to put the shrimp and krill right in front of them so they see it
i also feed mine peas,crickets, earth warms,blood and meal warms as snaks during that day or when i go to the petstore and get the stuff lol

but if hes beaging that fussy deff try crickets thats something they would eat in the wild
