question about coppersafe

Has anyone ever used coppersafe? The bottle says to add certain amount for so many gallons and leave in water for one month and I assume add when doing water changes. So this means I would not add it any other time? I just want to make sure I am doing this right. by the way this is not for the tetras, it's for a separate hospital tank.

I've used Coppersafe and that is how I understood the directions. I would treat the tank with Coppersafe and then I would add whatever I removed during water changes (for one month).

Honestly, I cannot remember what I was treating...(it was a while ago) But, I think it worked pretty well. I'd probably buy it again if need be.
