My betta in my 1g has built a bubblenest but when I take the lid off the tank to get a top view of it the bubbles start popping and the nest starts getting smaller so I put the lid back on and the bubbles stop popping and the betta goes to the nest and starts rebuilding it. What causes the bubbles to pop like this and do you think the betta will continue rebuilding it or would he get tired of rebuilding it and give up?

Air current?
Thats what i think....my bettas build nest, but they dissolve quickly..

Nope can't be that because there is no air stone in the tank and the heat or fan isn't on. Any other possiblitys?

You may not be aware of it, but there is air current everywhere.
Even the slightest change can make an impact.
Since you open the lid, air can get to it faster, thus poping more bubles.
