I have a 10gallon tank. I recently upgraded to a 44gallon, and decided to use my 10 for a couple of pregnant mollies I have.
One of them is just a mean little bugger and chasing the other... should I take the tough girl out and put her into the larger community tank so I have one molly who can give birth in peace? Will she be ok alone for a little while ?

I'm a big time newbie :) LOL.. thanks for any advice!!

I'm not an expert but can you divide your 10 gallon tank in half? That way they both can give birth in relative peace, but still see each other?

Firstly ....... Welcome to the forum!
If livebearers are stressed they will abort the babies so yes it might be worth putting the 'meaner' one back into the main tank! OR..... do they both have gravid spots (a black-ish spot at the end of their belly - the fry's eyes) if only one of them does then she will be ready before the other one without the gravid spot so leave her in your now breeding tank and take it from there. Although you will have to be careful when the fry are born to remove the Mum quickly or she will eat the fry and you won't be able to put the other female in there until they are big enough not to be eaten. It might be worth buying a small breeding tank that will fit in the main tank as well (these are usually quite cheap) so tha tif you need it you have it spare.

Thanks for the welcome :) I went ahead and took the little mean girl out, as I'm not sure if she is pregnant at all, I just think she might be. She gets along just fine with all of the other fish, but for some reason, feels the need to torture her 'sister'..
I don't see a gravid spot on the other yet, but she is getting quite a belly on her. I moved miss Meanie out, and arranged the tank so that there is a nice dense area of fake plants on one side. My temp is set about 79.. now that she's not being chased around, wish me luck :)
