Hey all,

Well, my ten gallon is about cycled I would say (just one more week most likely). And some of you may know I have it divided (about 8 gallons on one side and obviosly 2 on the other). I was wondering in the 8 gallon side can I add a gourami? If not how about some neons or cories? if you know anything that would work for the 8 gallon side let me know!! Also is there anything I could put in the 2 gallon side?? Thanks a lot you guys!! :)

Hey Thanks petitericeball! :) I was thinking something along the lines of that. I'm still a little worried about the betta and the gourami though anymore suggestions! :)

okay u could put a dwarf or some honeys Imo would prefer the dwarf but ur chioce. Some corys or a bristle nose plec or clown loaches on the two gallon part put a CT or a VT or a DT

I know but they dont get that big in something that small. I know they get a 1foot long but thats a small tank.

:S They will still get big no matter how small of a tank you put them in. It doesn't matter.

It would just be like your parents trying to keep you in a cardboard box when you are 5...you are still gonna outgrow it no matter what. :S

Mike...can I ask why it is seperated??

Pretty much on the two gallon side you can only keep a betta. In the 8 gal side you could probably get away with a dwarf gourami, some small tetra's, and a couple of cory cats.

I have kept betta's and gourami's together before with no problems at all.

~Another idea...what about a male betta on the smaller size, and a few fems on the other? Just a thought.

**didn't mean to hijack your post**

It is divided in two because I have two male bettas in there... I think I will try to get 3 emperor tetras, a dwarf gourami, and 3 or 4 cory cats how does that sound?

oooooo...I didn't read your sig. sorry.

That combo sounds good to me. My mom has a 5 gal with 3 neon's, a betta, and a few snails. It's a pretty nice set up.

As you can tell by my sig, I have quite a few 10 gal divided betta tanks.

Wow you certinatly do! Thanks so much for helping me you guys! :) I realy appreciate it! I think I will go get my cories or gourami on Friday!

Hey guys,

I have decided to split the 10 into 3 ways and put 3 bettas in there (will do after I set up the 60 and put the swordtail in, NEXT WEEK yay!!) does that sound good and another question will the one in the middle get stressed? Thanks again!

None of the ones that I have in the middle seem stressed. Of course, for the first week or two they were insane...but now they are cool. Flaring from time to time, but that is a good thing.

Good Luck with it and let us know if you need any help.

Tiff
