sorry if in wrong section

so i bought 2 rosy barbs and since they've been in he tank one chases the other one, infrequently.
no picking or fighting but will chase the other for a few seconds.
is this a male/female thing, or do i hav 2males and a dominence thing?
i dnt know wheter this other one (which is slightly smallr) is stressed or anything
cheers in advancxe for any help

what do they look like? are they both red with a greenish spinal area? if so then its 2 males, the females are golden

the larger one is a very vivid red
the smaller one is not as bright but stll quite red, slightly silvery.

I've got 3 Rosy Barbs - they are 1 x male (bright red / pink), and 2 female (silver / gold) colour.
They are very easily sexed being completely different colour variants.

The male is hyper active and races around the tank - and frequently chases the females until he loses interest and goes off to do his own thing.
I have noticed some fin nipping on the female tails, but nothing too serious.

They are really lovely fish and I'd just let them settle down.
If you do have 1 male / 1 female perhaps try and get a second female to stop just one being constantly pestered.

the males have a black edge to the dorsal fins. the natural colour of a rosy barb is silver with a shine of pink/red, the other colours are variants. if you get a few more they'll stop chasing each other, try and outnumber the males with females
