How big do these plecs get? Just want to double check my info.
Would they suit a tall(ish) 40-50 gallon tank?
Any special info that applies to the care of this particular pleco?

Absolutley fine for that size tank. There's an absolute ton of posts on these beauties recently. Just do some searched for "queen arabesque" or "L260" or posts by "AlexAndCarmen" :good:

Many thanks Bloo
Ps. your cat is lovely!

Are arabesques good in pairs or would there be a risk of territoriality and/or fighting?
(more so than you'd expect)

They're fine :good: I have 5 and they all seem happy to share their caves and hiding spots randomly. Just ensure you have enough cavey bits.

Next question;
They aren't likely to show aggression toward my dwarf gourami are they?
I'm planning a new tank which at the mo would house two 2 dwarf gourami, 2 honey gourami (i think) and one young angelfish.
Plus two arabesques, i'd prefer to keep cost down and go for 40-50 gal but if necessary i could stretch to a 60gal?
Tank decor wouldn't be a problem i revel in re-organising and planning tank set-up.

Nope definitely no aggression from the L260's towards the gourami's or Angel. They are very peaceful little things in general. And that tank size sounds just fine. Obviously always the bigger the better, but a 40 gallon would suffice for what you're planning. They are however quite shy and it's taken me about 6 months for them to really settle in and come out without scuttling back into hiding at the slightest movement in front of the tank. So don't be alarmed if you don't see them much for a few months. With the fish you plan on keeping, I'd suggest a temperature of around 26-27C.

Thanks again...
Another question just sprang to mind (sorry)...
I was planning on a tall tank 23"+ to cater to my angel, in your opinion would depth suit a pleco best; i presume a greater feeling of security and less light or width; a better scavenging area?

I appreciate its probably not hugely important but i'd like to hear your opinion?
Or any other plec owners....

In this case it doesn't matter all that much - as long as you don't plan on getting something silly like a hex tank. A water depth of min 18" will suffice for the Angel.
But if in future you plan on more bottom feeders / catfish, you'll need a larger area to spread territory.
Again - the larger the tank you can lay your hands on, the better.

I need a tank first.... :X
I'll tell the girlfriend that means we have to go for the largest aquaone regency, 27 and a half " tall, 1.2 metre long
