I have a MAIN tank with 400L with no deseases, nice water parameters, etc.. with Discs, Neons a Corydoras!

I bougth 4 NEW Discs and I want to Quarentine them for 2 weeks in a small tank (40L)!

What Product (medicine) should I put in their water so they deinfect completely???

I heard that if you mix some quantity of COPPER SULFATE in the quarentine tank for those 2 weeks fish will be free of diseases???
Is this true???
How much "g of Copper Sulfate" per "L of water" should I dissolve??

Thanks in advance!!!

the only thing i have added to a quarantine tank is salt. i quarantine the fish for three weeks and if they seem to be disease free then i add them to the community. if not, then i treat the fish, after the disease has disappeared, then add them to the community after another three weeks of quarantining form the time the symptons disappeared completely.

Can you give me the quantity of Kitchen Salt that I should dissolve in the water???

There's aquarium salt sold in lfs. These r safe for the fishies! The normal dose is 1 tablespoon per 18.9L

Ok so I'll buy Uniodized Salt (Aquarium Salt) and dissolve 1 table spoon in aprox. 20L of water!

My tank is a Fresh Water one! NOT Salt water!

My question is: wich spoon is a table spoon? :p

<-- Bigger ------------------- Smaller -->
Soup Spoon > Tea Spoon > Coffe Spoon

Soz for this question I'm noob :D

Thanks all!

Tablespoon is the larger spoon. I guess your soup spoon. I only have 2 sized spoons in my house.

Its 1 tbs per 5 gal.

1:1 is for a salt dip. If you are adding it to the tank, do use 1:5.

And a tablespoon is the kind used in cooking measurement. Don't depend on the ones you eat and serve with. :D
