Does it need just very basic filtration for a fish or two? I went and got a 10 gallon tank. It was cheap. I was thinking of placing it under my 55 gal tank in the cabinet. Does it need some extra basics like live sand in case I quarantine something that needs it? Maybe a few pounds of rock? I dunno. Or should it be really basic and empty?
My concern is that how will it maintain itself when I am not quarantining anything. How would you guys run something like I suggested?
