I have a problem, I need to quarantine my gibby, he has a bit of fungus on his side, which i'm currently treating. Also lots of water changes to keep ultra clean, but it's a big job on such a big tank, and the meds are expensive. Does anyone have any ideas what I can use? Or is there anyone nearby who could lend me a suitable vessel?!

Been looking on internet for cheap tanks but there are no larger ones near me...

I am not really sure. How big is he? Could to try doing a bath type thing? That might stress him out. A hospital tank is only temporary so just try and find one that he will fit in comfortably. You don't need another tank as big as the one you have now. I am sure you know that all ready. maybe you could rig up a big rubber made storage container for him. Those things are cheap I bet you could make it work. But the heater might melt the plastic if it gets to close..... I am just throwing stuff out there.

Best bet if you live in The US have you looked on www.Craigslist.com I always see all kinds of tanks for sale at good prices you can even bargain with them to get a better deal.

Thanks for the reply - only just seen it!

I did end up getting a big plastic container from a hardware shop. It's the biggest I could find! The heater appears to be fine - no melting!

I guess great minds think alike! lol :good:
