Q On Frag Exchange / Sales

My question is....Do we have a section on this site for frag exchange / sales?
If so could someone please point me to it thank you....

I have found it. After some serious searching 30 mins or so , the thread was originally posted by steelhealr back in jan 2007 it was last updated at the end of apr 2009

I think it would be much better if it was more visible under a sub forum i.e.
Tropical fish forum > tropical saltwater – reefs and marines> coral exchange / sales and perhaps one for marine equipment as well swaps and sales.ect
What do you guys think is it some think that you would be interested in,

I think the coral one is a good idea, but not the marine equipment.
Just because then tropical people will ask for "tropical equipment" o I think we should stick to equipment.
Thats just my opinion though.

I think one for frags is a very good idea. Sud-divided into UK and US.

The equipment could be a problem as YF says, however, we often sell things amongst ourselves without them ever hitting the classifieds section. A lot of our equipment is Marine specific.

Personally, unless I am looking for a tank, I don't even look in the Classifieds any more. I seem to have stuck in the Marine Section entirely.

I don't even visit my old haunts such as New World Cichlids or Plecs.

I was thinking some think along the lines of this....

And like you say TI a UK and a USA Sud-divided would also be a good idea and that way it would be much easier to find what you’re looking for and it would be all kept in the marine section.

Yes Tina I was absolutely mortal , far too much of the amber nectar I am afraid , but yes it was a very good day thank you . I will get some pics up during the week some time for you guys and girls to take a look at.

But any way back on subject...
Yep it would so much easier to find thing marine related for sale & exchange if it was all kept in its only little sub forum and IMO I think it would be be very useful for all of use over on the marine section.

The USA one would not work as reef central has a far larger community and most USA users on TFF have an account of Reef Central for that (at least i know me and one other do, then again I can only think of three other US members off the top of my head). Plus there aren't enough US members that live near each other for it to be effective.

FYI the tropical people do have a classifieds section for equipment so there should be no problem with us having one.

for tidy's sake it may be better to have all of the sections under a main heading of Marine Classifieds at the bottom of that page under Nano Reefs?

have to agree with musho, i just don't think there are enough USA members to make a US classifieds section viable for marines at the moment.
As musho says most use RC likewise many of us UK residents use UR, but it would be nice to be have a section on here for us to be able to trade amongst ourselves, as i think we're a good little group that enjoy helping one another out and it would also help out the newer members to the marine side to stock their tanks without having to pay LFS prices.

Yeah, instead of having two separate forums for UK and US members, just make it all one forum but in the title you have to state where you are from. Otherwise the US forum will be a ghost town.

Absolutely anguilla that’s what I was thinking. and like you guys say it probably would be better {as well as neater} to just have the one sub heading in the subforum i.e. classifieds as you have suggested Anguilla and also like you have suggested musho you could state in the title of your sale swap ect where your from e.g. UK Carlisle ect that would be so much easer ummm I like that idea.
