Titus the pyjama catfish has been in my tank for a while and has alwasy been fairly reclusive (even when the Moonlight-effect lighting comes on.) Now all of a sudden he's strutting around bold as brass and has become very bossy chasing the other community fish away at mealtimes - particularly the Cories.

Why the sudden change in behaviour? I haven't had a chance to test the water in a while but I can tell you that its being treated with Snail Away (its crap, I know.) Could this alter his behaviour??

Any help, much appreciated.

TT.

That med could be the answer, also get your water tested.

it's more likely thats he's matured and has turned into a bad boy.

if he continues with the behaviour and damges other fish in a serious way you should remove it.

Really? Gosh. I've always understood his species to be quite peaceful. Are you speaking from experience, Paul?

Pretty sure they are quite peaceful but some will just snap.

I haven't kept them myself but it's what can happen. Kind of like red tail black sharks, when young there quite sweet but as they grow they get alot more agresive.

Heh it could be if the stocking density has increased in your tank lately tintin that he feels his territory is being threatended so therefore feels he has to defend it!
