Can anyone tell me their proper requirements? e.g. minimum tank size, tank mates, salinity (though I think in my LFs they have them in a FW tank so may not even need it.

and any other info would be great. Thanks!

5 gallons for one, and ten for a pair. If you want to keep a few, make sure the tank is very heavily planted. They are pure fresh, so no salt. People seem to have luck keeping them with otos and kuhlies. Be careful though. These little puffers have been known too pick at and eventually kill much larger fish then themselves. They also aren't known for eating pellet or flake, so frozen or live foods is a must. They also may need small snails once in a while, too keep their teeth in check! :)

Imperial or US gallons? Okay woud shrimp do instead of snails? Thanks for clearing that up! :)

U.S gallons
Not sure about the shrimp, but probably. You would have to google it just to be sure. :D
Also, I believe males have a line down their belly usually, and Wrinkle behind their eye. I haven't kept them myself, but am sort of a puffer fanatic and have always wanted one. :)
