We were doing the monthly 60% water change in the hex today (gets weekly 30%) and in the bucket was lots of new cory fry - they were all over the bottom of the bucket - along with the baby shrimp
I thought all their eggs had been eaten as they were spawning over a week ago and never seen where they laid the eggs :)

Now i know they are there when i look in the tank i can see the little ones on the sand - i just assumed it was baby shrimp before - definately not just shrimp though .
I hope they survive :)
The rasboras they are in with are just over 1cm in length so they arent interested in them

im really pleased for you sarah :good:
if they have survived this long theres no need to worry as they have made it on there own

regards dave

Hi pippoodle :)

That's wonderful news! Best of luck with them.

thanks for all the replys

puppyjess123 - nice to see you back hun , and your corys will soon breed - my peppers didnt breed until my old aging male died (we worked out he was 11 in the end) and we introduced 2 new tiny corys put new life into them
same with the bronze they didnt breed until i increased the numbers - dont worry hun they'll do it sooner or later i know it's a pain having to wait

drewry - thats good to hear - the hex is quite well planted with bogwood and 2 coconut cabes so they've had plenty of hiding places - nothing in there really eats anything else , there's lots and lots of newborn shrimplets and some other miniscule babies not sure what they are , could be the rasboras as they are swimming to the surface more than scrabling in the sand

Inchworm - Thanks hun , have to see how they go and just remove some when they get large enough (if they do) to see an increase in numbers
