Okay so looking into options for what to add with my Betta in a 20g, and cories are one of the groups of specie son my list.

The pygmy cories are so cute, and I've found a supplier who sells them for a decent price, but what i wanted to ask was, how would they go with a Betta, and how many would be good for a 2 foot 20g Tall and do they need any special care?

I do have a back up tank, another empty 20g Tall which is completely empty.

I'm looking at other cories as well, I just like the idea of keeping a very small bioload in the 20g, and don't want anything over a couple of inches long, and from what I've read bronze and albinos get to 3-4 inches...

thanks
Emma

I have a betta tank and wondered if I could have one of the pygmy varieties in there since the tank was too small for much else, but I *think* that the response was that temperature might be an issue since the temperature of a betta tank is slightly higher (about 27dC) whereas the pygmies prefer temperatures of around 21-25dC.

But that's just my recollection so you should definitely wait for an expert for a proper opinion!

I have a male betta with 5 young albino cories in a heated 10 gallon tank. The temperature is set at 78 degrees. All seem to be doing great.
