The sales person who helped me with my pygmy cories had a difficult time catching four fish. . .I took what I could get.

Question is how do I tell which is male and which is female and how likely are they to breed? All my tanks are small but since the cories are, as well, I think that they would be the only species of fish I could get away with having additional in the tank. I have a heater and the tank is set to 78 degrees.

I don't know that you'll be able ot tell the difference when young.
Mine are now about 8 months old and the female is rounder in the belly - sort of deeper bodied than the males.
If I see a male and female together I can see the difference quite easily but if there's only one it's a bit harder.
The males are more streamlined.
