Hey,

I would like to get a coral beauty, but I will also be keeping soft corals, leathers, mushrooms (stuff suitable for relatively low lighting)

I know you can never tell and no 2 fish are the same, but are coral beauties a bad idea with these types of coral?

Cheers,

As you said it depends on the fish, some will nip coreals some won`t, its about an four to one ratio, out of every 5 you get one will be a nipper.....
just get it from a decent LFs where you can swap the fish if it does...

Actually from what I've read, pygmy angels' favorite foods include really fleshy LPS like open brains and bubbles, along with hairy or furry SPS like pocillipora, stylophora, or millepora. They tend to leave soft corals alone :)

All small angels can be possible coral nippers of any kind, I have a coral beauty though, and it's being housed with mushrooms and a large colony of GSP with no problems.

Thats what I thought, but as Ski said, if they don't go for soft corals (which is all I'll be getting) I should be OK.

Thanks,
