Putting my water to the test

tomorrow i'm going to by a test kit for my tank and i was woundering what i should look at

ammonia
nitrite
nitrate
ph
am i missing anything and what numbers should i look for in the testing for each element?

Is the tank empty?

If so, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate should be 0, but dont be surprised if it isnt.

pH can be anything, really.

Your PH should be around 7. I would call your city water services if its like acidic or basic.
