How do i know which is male and female?

If you can get hold on a pic displaying the different features, i would be very thankful.

There is no clear way of sexing purple spotted gudgeons but generally males are more brightly coloured and have larger heads. When sexually active the both males and females will show their genitalia, in males it is short and pointed and in females it is short and broad.

Cool. Well as i have noticed since i had it one of mine is pritty dull in color and her head in not the same shape.
