I currently have 5 lampeye tetras, 5 cardinal tetras, 2 dwarf gouramis, 1 beta/fighter, 1 hoplo catfish, 2 khuli loaches, 5 algae shrimp, 2 apple snails and 4 bumblebee gobys. I went to my local pet store today and noticed a fish that looked amazin, he looked like a type of goby, it was the purple sptted gudgeon. The woman in the shop wouldnt sell me the fish as she sais it would eat my bumblebees :( can someone please advise me whether or not i should buy the gudgeon.

My tank is peaceful at the moment so wud the gudgeon mess everything up? And if so.. wat could i get rid of in order to keep him as he was a very intresting and pretty fish.. thankxxxxxx guyssss n girlsssssssssss

one more thing, my cardinal tetras fins are abit chewed up.. am i right to blame it on the bumblebees?

Sharz you are right they are lovely fish and they look better as they mature into stocky looking little predators, I had 4 in a tank hat got to about 4-5 inch and although I loved them the ymade short work of someyoung congo tetra I included to add pace in the tank!!!

so I would say leave them unless you can change yourtank to suit them
