Wow thats a massive litter of puppies! I bet their mum must be knackered after giving birth to them all lol!
It kinda reminds me of when i first bred my hamsters, i did a lot of research beforehand and everything i read in particular about hamster litter sizes said that the average amount of babies a first time mother hamster has is 8. So i braced myself for about 8-10 baby hamsters tops (my local petshop had agreed to take any babies we couldn't rehome), however a few weeks after our female pregnant hamster (Luna) had given birth, i took a peek inside her house to check up on the babies and there were 16 of them
!
Luna was a good mother though and all the babies survived and were very healthy and grew very quickly, weirdly there were a lot more females than males (if i remember correctly there were only 2-3males out of the lot or something like that), and we successfully rehomed them all very quickly once they were large enough however we did keep one of the babies which was the runt of the litter and was always smaller than the rest
. I wouldn't do it again anytime soon though, i had to set up a lot of hamster cages for all the babies as they grew and started to become territorial, cleaning out 8 hamster cages all in one day once a week is very time consuming! Still though, the babies were super-cute, especially when they were at the stage when they had fur and looked like little miniature hamsters but hadn't started to fight each other yet.
Puppies are awesome however i wouldn't want to look after that massive litter of puppys (even as cute as they are), i bet having to walk all of them twice a day when they get older is going to be a real hassle, and thats not even thinking about all the poop and destruction they'll make when they start running around and chewing things
