here's some info on them

i used to have one, not long after i started out in the hobby. at the time i didnt realise they were a schooling fish, but from my experience they are very fast and grow quite quickly, they're also a very interesting fish to watch and have great colour and if you look closely kinda have a nice sparkle to their scales if you have any smaller fish or plan on keeping them with slower fish then make sure at feeding time the smaller fish get their share because arulius puntius are very fast! and will outcompete some other fish, they appreciate cover of plants too so make sure you have somewhere for them to retreat if they have/want to
if i had a bigger tank i would definately give these fish a go again, and get a nice big group they're amazing characters
