Hi all
I purchased a small frag of Pulsing Xenia from the LFS on Sunday. My water stats are spot on and I placed in on a clean (free from apista) piece of LR that also houses my one other Coral, a healthy Zoanthid colony. They are not touching and at the advice of my LFS both corals are in good lighting with moderate flow.
I looked when i got home today and the Pulsing Xenia looked a little strange, The part of the coral which connects to the live rock was really swollen and there was no movement in the heads. As such I thought it had died and had started to swell with decomposition. I tried to remove it however it is tightly fixed on to the LR, It also retracted and shrunk which I guess means it is still alive!
Just wondered if you guys think it looks healthy and If you have any idea why it is not pulsing?
Many thanks
Wilde.
