Right well went to the LFS to pick up the "red eye puffers" and upon closer inspection they were definatley target puffs!! Well figuring that I couldnt keep 2 in a 30 gallon I had to veto that idea, but they directed me to the Green spotted puffers........What an awesome fish   They came up to the glass to great me and swam up and down the glass playing with each other!! Anyway they said two in a 30 gallon would be perfect so I definatley want to get some...! Problem is I wont be home to change the tank up to brackish as its fresh at the mo....would it be ok to put the GSP's into fresh and then raise up the salt level with them in :S ???

(dont know if this should be in brackish :/ )

Are they in fresh or brackish at the store?

If they are in fresh at the store, then it would be fine to put them in your fresh tank then raise the SG slowly.

If they are in brackish at the store, then you need to match the conditions before you bring them home.

Baby GSPs are often found in freshwater and migrate to brackish as they mature.

They are even sometimes found in full seawater!

Thanks Sir, I will ring the store and ask them what they keep there puffers in..!! When the puffers grow larger I want to make the tank fully marine conditions for the puffs :D
