okay i have 4 dwarf puffers in a 10 gal with two fake plants so i need to make some caves what can i use that is just lieing around the house such as like buckets or like things that make caves without using silcone as i have none lol and i was wondering about big blocks of wood like stick stuff can i put that in my tank

good one is coconut shells, slate other non pourous rocks etc.. small plant pots etc [many people use these] I'd definintely put more plants in though. bogwood and mopani wood often has holes in that can be arranged to form caves etc.

Driftwood that doesn't have holes can easily be turned into driftwood that has holes Ahh, the marvels of modern technology! Just drill out some "caves" using a 1" bit. I've actually found that my dwarfs like to sleep in my fake plants better than any caves I've provided for them. I have the plants that make little "cups" and the puffers love 'em!

I haven't tried it myself, but have heard of people using shot glasses as caves for Dwarf puffers.

Do you have to boil the little pots or can they be put in as is?
