Hi there, just wanted to know if anyone knows if I could start between a 10-30 gallon tank for a dwarf puffer? Are they happy to be alone or should he/she have a little buddy? How much work are they, and if I do start anyone can some one give me a tip for convincing my husband. He says the 72 gallon is enough. What does he know?

well 10 is enought for about 3-4 and say to ur husband there cute lil buggers

I dunno, 3 is pushing it. I'd stick with 2 for a 10 gallon.. They are very territorial.

yea but dwarf puffers need around 2-3 gallons per fish so maybe 2 would be good too

4 or 5 is pushing it with a 10 gallon, you will be fine with 3.

Then would 6 be suitable for 20?
i think so because they are dwarf puffers not the ones you have which are green spotted puffers so if u had brought dwarf puffers..then...........u could have more ;)

Yes I'm pretty full of knowledge on puffers ATM... I was thinking about getting Dwarfs because I'm getting the 20 for the GSPs, then in 6 months they will go into a 60 gallon, I will use my current 5 gallon for bettas, and I will have an empty 20 gallon.. so, Dwarf Puffers!

Godric, have you got any more pictures of your green spotted puffer (I believe it's called a leopard puffer at my LFS) and it's tank? I really want to get one, and I've got a 5 gallon tank that's just waiting for one. The spotted one's a brackish-water fish, right?

Any advice you could give me would be great, thanks a lot.
