Puffer Fish Decision

I'll be very brief on this one.


I have a 30 gallon, I want 2+ puffers. I've already considered the fig8 decision, but I would like to have more options. I also considered the DP option, but I think they are a bit small. Any suggestions?

Not interested in trying GSPs again? Are you after brackish or fresh or not bothered?

Finding anything bigger than dwarfs but with a similiar temperament isn't easy. With the exception of my fahaka, all my puffers are ambush predators and tend to stay well hidden. Also the majority of puffers won't tolerate another of their own in the same tank. Plus you need to find somewhere that stocks what you're after.

Why not consider the south americans? Bigger than dwarfs with similiar personality.

Or if you fancy a challenge, you could try a pair of lortetis and perhaps try to breed them.
