Hi all
i have just managed to get hold of a pub co2 bottle and i was wondering if it is possible to use this on my tank . has anyone ever used a setup like this and if so were would i buy the parts from in the U.K that i would need. like gauges and stuff

I'm sure you could buy the fitting and stuff in the UK.. my CO2 setup cost me R2100.00 thats 190 pounds.. without the bottle it would have been R1800.00 163 pound..

unless your not installing a automatic CO2/PH controller you might be able to setup everything a little cheaper.. but a DIY soda bottle ( for me who has both ) work just as good...

Hi there
i have a mate who works in a club near were i live and he got the bottle for me .its a good size it stands about 30 inches tall and i can see a 18 on it so im thinking its a 18 pound one . i dont mind the fact that its this big cos i can fit it with no problems and i wont have to get it filled so much should last me about a year i should think . you can see these bottles all over the place behind pubs and clubs most of the time :D if you do get hold of one make sure its not from B.O.C as they will only fill it if it belongs to you .there is a serial number on them and they look it up on the pc and if its not got your name on it they wont fill it for you

you can rent a bottle from B.O.C they dont sell them . not sure how much it cost a year
hope this helps :D

PS
the pub and club kind of bottles do come smaller than the one i have . there also easy to find as well
