went to my LFS today to get some more tetras......then me and my other half saw this elephant nose fish and fell inlove with it    he is dead cute and i'm very proud :D :D :D

I got one of those a few months ago. To start with he was very shy hiding away all day, but now he's much more active and is even starting to bully my loaches, he pushes at them with his nose - but they put him in his place every now and then things go back to normal. I feed mine frozen foods as he won't eat flakes and I think his favourite is mosquito larva. Enjoy yours and keep us informed on his progress.
One other thing - make sure that there are no sharp bits in your gravel coz that would damage his snout - it's very delicate.

Just read the article, interesting but I was told not to have more than one in a tank as they can get aggresive towards their own. Also, I don't have any salt in my tank and he still seems to be thriving.

i read the same thing about the aggression ....so i am going to stick to 1..and my tank has no salt either...
