Hi,

You may know that I recently purchased two new plecs. An L066 or King Tiger Pleco and a L177 or Golden Nugget.

The problem-My two Marbled Hatchets caught white spot 4 days after the new fishes introduction, so I rose the temp and they got rid of it. However, today I noticed my 3 Neons and Male Angel had a few white spots. So I went to the lfs and brought a product called PROTOZIN for treatment of White Spot, Fungus, Neon Tetra disesease and a few others. Now I have never used any chemicals in my tanks before becuase I have always been discouraged by hearing about their adverse affects. So do you think I should use the treatment which recommends dosing on days 1, 2, 3 and 6 of treatment with 12ml dosages or leave the temp up and add now treatment.

Thanks

Go with it, increase the temp to 30C and aerate the water constantly.

Keep re-dosing for 1-2 weeks after all the visible signs have gone to be 100% sure!

Then reduce the temp and aerate (or not) as before.

If that doesn't work, try Intrepet's White Spot Plus.
