Hi all and Merry Christmas.
Ok well Christmas day i noticed the classics of Ick on one of my platys. So immediately i did the usual tests, ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate (even with a nitrate filter pad in) still between 12.5 - 25ml/g. its 25 in fresh tapwater. Guess the pads are rubbish then.
Any way, then did an 80 Ltr water change, added the dechlorine stuff.
Next day got up and Magic the Whitespot had gone on the platy no one else was infected, and NOOOOO one of my plecs was dead. The two plecs had been real happy and active until i added the treatment. now the other is just hiding out the way and i just wondered if you guys had had the same probs, or is protozin death in a bottle to these little fellas.
