Protien Skimmer

i have a v2 600 skimmer that is on a 300 litre tank,its skimming fine, but their is what looks like a film of protien on top of the water in the tank?
i have a spray bar at the top one side and as the water comes out it is crystal clear but the rest of the water on the top has a slight cloudy look??
is this normal?

Soudns like you need more surface agitation. This is normal in the absence of surface agitation

o right, ive got alot of watermovment but not alot of it is at the surface.
should i put all of the spraybar at the very top?

Try a powerhead near the surface

Could you modify a small powerhead to fit spray bar for better surface agitation??
