Which protein skimmer would you guys reccommend?

My tank specs are:
  1. 55 gallon US
  2. 48x12x20, I think
  3. Fluval 404 with zeolite, aragonite, carbon, sponges, and a few bioballs
  4. 3 powerheads, 180 gph each, I think
  5. UV sterilizer attached to one of the powerheads, it restricts flow somewhat
  6. 4x65 watt PC's, 2 12000k and 2 actinic, if that makes a difference
Thanks,

If you dont have a sump i would say either an Aqua Medic Turboflotor 100 multi SL or a Deltec MCE600.

TMC V2 are the only skimmers we recomend at work

I 2nd the Deltec MCE600.

The Deltec MCe600 is excellent and the aftersales service is highly recommended

Ive heard nothing but good things about AquaC Remoras. They acctually just came out with a nano version of the remora that I will be getting for my 20gallon. If you want one for a sump the Urchin is the in sump version.

Great skimmers allready mentioned here, especially for you UKers, but I'm not so sure whats available in Canada. AquaC is pretty popular in the US along with ASM skimmers. ASM's are somewhat pricey but real good quality and have real good resale value...
