Protein skimmer.

How often will i have to clean the protein skimmer???
its got some foam in it.

USually every day. Definately a couple of times per week. Once the slime appears on the neck of the foam chamber it becomes less efficient and the foam will not rise as easily.

Every other day for me, if I don't it simply stops skimming for the reason navarre states above. I origionally thought it needed cleaning before it filled up , then realised that it never got higher than a certain point in the cup.
