Sorry for the multiple posts but i have a lump of ocean rock that is absolutely smothered in Mushroom (Anemone Stone)

They are starting to grow over each other now so i was wondering what would be the best action to split them!?... or will they start to move of there own accord!?...

I was thinking of dividing up the rock they sit upon by the means of a Dremel :shifty: would it be easier to proporgate them!?...

and and here are a few shots of my other softies... :good:

i am re-scaping the tank this weekend into an L Lagoon shape to try and make a good display of my existing coral and rock and pave the way for a couple of new additions in the future!.... :shout:

They wont harm each other growing like a carpet like that. They will compete, but this might just cause the to spread. In the process, they may even reproduce more by leaving portions of their feet to re-grow.

If your sole purpose is to move them apart, using a Dremel is fine, and its probably alot less intense/time consuming. Fragging will just mean you have 2 of everyone you frag, and it wont solve the issue of crowding. Id suggest if you wanted to seperate the bunch, break them into singles using your dremel, and THEN if you wanted to try your hand at fragging, use a sharp scalpal or blade to cut one slice thorugh the center, making sure you have a section of foot. Mouth isnt so important, but can also be beneficial. My best rate of survival is going in half, rather than pizza slicing, which is also more effective in getting more than two from one frag, but chances of survival are lower, and more care needed.
