I have a Cryptocoryne Undulata that has gotten HUGE since I put it in my 29g a few months ago. I'm setting up a new nano tank and wanted to put some of it in there. I know that you're supposed to pull up a runner that's not attached to the main root ball, so I started pulling a bit on some of the outer stems and all of them felt pretty firm. Finally I found ONE tiny runner that came out with roots attached that seems like it wasn't part of the main root ball. I pulled it out carefully and moved it to my other tank.
Just wanting to confirm... this is the correct way of doing it, right? Is there any other easy way of propagating crypts rather than pulling until something feels loose?
