ive decided to divide my tank up into 5 sections. im going to use plastic canvas and a glue gun. then im going to leave the hood of and use a large peice of canvas to fit in the rims where the hood edges sat on. in each section there will be 1 large bushy plant and a peice of bogwood.bettas like to hide. i already am nursing one betta in my large tank, hes in a net for the mo.but anyways the main point of this is to look after damaged bettas and then rehome them.think its a good idea? ill take up to 4 bettas, anyone want rid of theirs?but even if i see sick ones in shops im gonna buy them....not worried about money....i just feel bad for the fish always getting nipped etc.

the trouble with just buying injured, sick or beaten up Bettas from stores, is that the store will just get in another Betta in it's place, and that will end up in the same condition, vicious cycle.
now if you make a big scene...that's a bit different!

Ok confession time I made a big scene a few years ago as my LFS (GM Kevin).... was keeping bettas in those tiny plastic dividers
 so I moaned at them and then complained to RSPCA. Anyway they stopped having them for a while and then 12 months ago started having them again but one per weed tank that was brilliant. Now they are not looking after them again..so what do you have to do make a fuss every time you go in?

you do have a point guys, how about i find people who have sick ones? or if i do get them from shops...i make my point and tell them 'dont stock them if you cant care for them'.

Also if you are bringing in less than well Bettas you need to quarantine them so a divided tank is out.

Thats a good point Kev the illness will just pass from one to another??
