I'm trying to install a game Football Manager 2008. I installed it a couple of weeks ago but uninstalled it when laptop went away to be repaired. I've tried to reinstall it but when I put disk in even autorun doesn't appear. I installed football manager 2007 again and that installed ok. In the list of programs to install and uninstall football manager 2008 is there but when I've tried to uninstall it says "LaunchAnywhere properties file is missing." What can I do to install this game?

cheers

You can try using the RUN setting. Click on Start (bottom left corner) then to the right of that is RUN. Click on RUN and browse for the game. It should be under the CD drive. Find the Setup or exe file and click on that. Then go OK and it should start to install.

You might have to find all the other files on the hard drive that are from the previous installation, and delete them first. Then shut down the computer and re-boot it. Install the software and re-boot it again. Then it should work.
If it doesn't then you might need to format the computer and start again from scratch. If you software was working properly before the PC went in for repairs, you could try doing a "System Restore" and taking the operating system back to before the game was originally installed a few weeks ago.
